Hi, I’m Lina. I’m a high school art teacher with a behind-the-scenes passion for ceramics. I love to unwind after a long morning of teaching by getting absolutely covered in clay.

Before immersing myself almost entirely in ceramics, I was an intuitive artist, which meant that most of my works were improvised. I worked in whatever media I could grab onto. That is, until I grabbed onto clay, and the two worlds collided and formed what is my process today: intuitive ceramics & pottery.

For me, art has always been about play, and that is still absolutely true. When I sit down to my little home ceramics studio, I never quite know what I’m going to build. It’s an exciting way to create, and I hope it shows in each piece I pull from the kiln.

When I’m not in my ceramics studio, I am teaching ceramics to kids and intuitive ceramics to adults at the local gallery. I also like to nerd out on video games, supernatural shows, and Adam Nevill books. My home is an often-cluttered hobbit hole spilling over with art supplies and books, where I live with my high-school sweetheart, daughter, three cats, and an ornery pup named Luna.
